Next to the King George, the landmark hotel on the Famagusta Bay, is the Blue Bungalow, the seaside house of the highly acclaimed Cypriot artist George Pol Georgiou. This was his sanctuary, where the intellectual elite of the island would gather. In one of the rooms the artist painted Don Quixote on the wall. 46 years later, the elderly knight still stands imposing and robust, defiant of the decay that time and abandonment has brought.
